Seven Seconds We say, I say, again and again that we are in a Golden Age of Television. We say it and I say it because it is very true. Television shows, spurred on by streaming apps and audience expectation being raised higher and higher, have become as good and often better than anything that film can offer. The problem for shows and audiences alike however is that so many superb shows can get lost in the shuffle and even, as we saw so recently with Damnation and Dirk Gently, get cancelled long before they should be. Hopefully Seven Seconds does not fall into the latter category. Created, and largely written by Veena Sud, best known for her work on The Killing, (She’s also from Toronto. I need to mention this because I too live in Toronto and because it is so nice to see a Canadian Woman, particularly one from so close to home, finding such success.) JULES’ TRAINING & DIET DIARY STRENGTH AND STABILITY PHASE WEEK 7 MAR 18 – 20

“...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”   Socrates Actually made it through a full week back at training and at a semi regular, routine life. Wasn’t easy. Still lots of pain. And it’s not going to be easy getting back into shape. A full month off, feeding my depression and pain with junk food and I’m still over 205. I started last week at 212. As heavy as I’ve ever been and, being primarily an Ectomorph, I’m carrying all that weight around my gut, the worst place and the unhealthiest kind of fat. I have the advantage of muscle memory. I have the disadvantage of being 56 years old and having lived a very full contact life, which has left me with a lot of damage and a body that often just doesn’t want to do it anymore. I’m finally facing a problem that I’ve had to coax, cajole and bully a lot of my clients through. Time to walk the walk, starting from the back of the pack. I’m still in th...
