The Great Aaron Pryor, on this day in history...

I personally truly believe that The Hawk was one of the most underrated P4Ps of all time. I mean, the man beat the great Alexis Arguello. Twice. And all action fighter whose punches came from all angles, reminiscent of Henry Armstrong. Yes, he was very unorthodox and had other problems. But Pryor belongs on that list. I wouldn't recommend his style to just any fighter, but I would say that every true student of boxing should watch Pryor's fights. “If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.” Lao Tzu Seventh Week of an 8 week Phase: Endurance and Metabolism Ramp. Last few days of last week were a real struggle. Being kept awake by a bad toothache. And when I don’t sleep I’m more prone to seizures, severe stomach problems and nerve pain that can be paralyzing at times. Fell off the diet pretty bad. No excuse for that. Yes, I was sick, but indulging in junk food only made it worse. Back on the wagon this wee. Continuing to tighten up the diet and up the intensity even more, for one more week. SUNDAY JUNE 24: A shaky night of sleep. Tooth ache kept waking me up. Lots of tossing and turning. Started the day out with a Smudge, Standing Series Yoga & Meditation. Began Partial Fast Saturday at 9 pm. Continued it today. Dog Run to Townson Fitness . 1 Trainee. Then MMA Class. A few more Trainees. No time or ability to train myself. Tried to be active during this week’s sessions. Able to

“You are a slave of what you need in your soul”                                                                   C.G. Jung WEDNESDAY JUNE 20 : Think I got some decent sleep. Smudge to start the day. Seated series Yoga. Meditate. True day of rest. Had a dentist appointment. Somehow managed to tell the dentist the wrong side of my mouth where the pain was (Took some Ibuprofen before the appointment, so the pain wasn’t all that bad at that point.) so I ended up with a filling on my left side, and the return of lingering pain on my right side later in the day. Really didn’t do much of anything else.   Stopped eating by 8 pm, & began Partial Fast . Did some reading and writing. Did walk Momo and Cutting Practice . Iaijutsu Draw and Breathe- Front, Mei only . Continued to ice shoulder and foot. Read to wind the night down. THURSDAY JUNE 21 : Started day with Smudge. Partial Fast. Standing Series Yoga & Meditate. Dog Run to Townson Fitness. Trained one person
