Fructose starts out in the small intenstine, but eon't get too exited fructose lovers

...this study stresses that large amounts of fructose do get processed by the liver, rendering it still more dangerous than other sugars. The small intestine merely acts as a buffer. And since this study was done on mice, how the difference in body mass affects what constitutes too much fructose cannot yet be established. Suffice it to say that fructose is still a very dangerous sugar in more than small amounts. So put those twinkies and that Mountain Dew back down.
